Chia Seed Porridge Recipe For Toddlers

In need of a new breakfast recipe for your family? In our house we get a little tired of porridge throughout the winter so I wanted to try something that was just as versatile and yummy but packing a bigger punch nutritionally……leftovers can be used later for desserts too!

Ingredients:
3 tbsp Chia seeds
240ml cow’s milk/almond milk/coconut milk etc
2 tsp vanilla extract
100g chopped apple*
1 tsp cinnamon

Method:
Put aside a tablespoon of the apple.
In a sauce pan gently heat the apples, vanilla and cinnamon until stewed and soft.
Add the milk and Chia seeds, and stir over a very low heat until the seeds have plumped up and are soft.
Serve with the saved apples arranged on the top to add some fun 
Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge to be used as a dessert for up to 2 days and eaten either cold or gently reheated, with a drizzle of honey over the top.
*You could use berries or mashed bananas instead of the apples .
